“Authentic beauty.”

One of my favorite books is “Authentic beauty.” Leslie and Eric Ludy are my favorite Christ lovers, writers, leaders,…I deeply respect them and enjoy their books.

I didn’t grow up in an American culture, but the book helps me “feel” the environment girls go through, and it frigthens me.

I didn’t come from a beautiful past, but the book makes me “dance” in the embrace of my Prince, and it delights me.

I “started” in a Christian church in a non-Christian culture.I was preached to hate “sins” but not the “sinners.” We (girls and boys) were given the “rules” by our pastor for our physical boundaries (such as boys shouldn’t touch girls from their neck to knees).I still do have respect for them as I believe they have protected us in many ways. And even in America,I read, loved, and followed a book written by Eric (and Leslie,”When God writes your love story” ) about honoring his future mate with his interaction with other girls even long before he met her.I appreciate this “love.”

Unexpectedly,my experience in a Christian culture has been “challenging.”

I didn’t know a Christian church could use their “power” to make believers throw stones at a believer.I didn’t know Christian leaders could use their “power” to make churches throw a believer out of God’s house.

But I know that Bible says the greatest of all commandments of God are to love Him with our all and love our neighbours as we love ourselves.

I believe that means being humble enough to forgive and love others even when they make mistakes,I’m following that.I read Jesus didn’t throw a word at a sinful woman even when He was the only sinless man, I’m following that, too.

Embrace!

I forgot to say that even little girls can recognize the loving hugs or “wrong” touches, and I know even the “nicest” American I know can’t let my love touch their personal “boundaries.”?
