Motherland

Mongolian men own a poem: “In the fire of my passion in my wild youth, to my faithful love I didn’t say I’d die for her,but I sweared it to my land…”

Mongolians call their land “motherland”-the land they fell on from a mother’s womb, the land welcomed them to the earth, the land they’re destined to love with their breath…

Motherland-the mother of my grass I crawled on,the mother of my river I cried by,the mother of my flowers I played with, the mother of my butterfly I ran with, the mother of my friend I grew with,…

Mongolians are warriors in the history, many are angry, but we honor our King Chingis…

I’m Mongolian today because of our history.I speak Mongolian today because of our heroes.

The unity and unique passion moved a nation was dying inside…The warriors and wisdom saved a culture was wrestling in the middle…

I don’t know a fine Mongolian artist who didn’t write about his mother and motherland…I don’t know a fine Mongolian singer who didn’t sing about her mother and motherland…I don’t know a fine Mongolian man who didn’t fight for his mother and motherland…

The motherland-the tune of their world, the touch of their compassion, the flame of their passion,…

They can love with compassion, live with passion,…and die for generation.

“The light of a man’s life is the fire of his passion,”I think.

Shine!

Thanks for the comment - I LOVE your picture. It reminds me a little of the native Alaskan children all bundled up in the winter. We lived up there when I was very young. I would guess that Eskimos are definitely of Asian descent.

And I love the quote, “the light of a man’s life is the fire of his passion.” I think I need more passion.

    Toso,

I love this quote “The light of a man’s life is the fire of his passion”.

Your post prompted a question. You mentioned “King Chingis”. Is this the name Westerner’s would type out as ‘Genghis Khan’?

Are you the oldest child in your family?

    Thank You Very much,

Revzwife (I’m so sorry,I couldn’t find your name)-How nice, and how bold of you to go and live there :) . A few years ago in PA,I spent my school holidays with a pastor’s family, and I Loved the sovieners of an Eskimo baby-Jesus,…in my room they had put intentionally for me :). I Loved it :) .And later they sent me a very cute Eskimo doll, toys,…when I was back home in Mongolia.I MISS my toys ):.
I know you Do have a passionate heart, that’s precious!

Steve-That’s right! His name is written in different types in different languages, but we pronounce and write his name in our modern Mongolian scripts “Chingis.” And “khan” means “king.”I’m so glad that you’ve asked about it,because now I’ll prefer to use the well-recognized one as you know it. Thank you.

I’m the youngest in my family :). I’m the very youngest :) ,I was born when my parents, brothers, and sisters very old :) .My next sister is older than me by 14 years, and my oldest sister’s daughter is one year younger than me,isn’t that funny? :). I’m just thankful that my parents decided to “embrace” me :) ,because I know they were scared that my mom was too old to give a birth :):):):).
